Where It All Began:
It all started on a wintery February day in Sedona in 2023. Jhana made the trek from Salt Lake City to where Cameron was to discuss the fate of operations roles. They were both sick & tired. No, not the head cold & boogers kind of sick, but the sick of operations folks (themselves included) being minimized & left out all the time. So they joined forces to fix it by creating the first global, online community for operations professionals to connect, blow off steam, share, grow & thrive. And, that my friends is how The Ops Spot was born.

Who We Are:

Cameron Herold is best known for his operations roles in three well-known companies…College Pro Painters, Boyd Autobody, and most notably 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Each experienced explosive growth due to his leadership. Operations is near & dear to Cameron’s heart as it’s part of his DNA. Cameron has coached hundreds of CEOs of real companies, has spoken on stages in 28 countries, written 6 bestselling business books, created an online course called Invest in Your Leaders, and is the founder of the first mastermind for COOs with a minimum of $5M in revenue called the COO Alliance.

Jhana Li, has catapulted early-stage startups to success in her role as COO or Head of Ops. She’s since taken that experience & opened up her very own Spyglass Ops Academy where she coaches hundreds of emerging Operators in the digital space.

Both Cameron and Jhana have a mission to help people in Operations roles at all levels. Especially the ones who can’t afford expensive one-on-one coaching or don’t qualify for fancy masterminds yet. What is The Ops Spot?

The Ops Spot is the first online community for Operations Managers, Directors, & VPs [any size company] COOs [< $5M in Revenue] to connect, get your questions answered, share experiences [aka swapping war stories + victories], gain valuable insights, + even vent a lil bit with peers.

What are the membership requirements?

To become a part of The Ops Spot, you need to be active in an Operations role. More specifically… Operations Area, or a Manager, Director, or VPs of any size company. We also allow COOs of smaller companies to join.

If you’re a COO of a company doing greater than $5M in revenue, you’re a little too big for The Ops Spot and should join Cameron’s COO Alliance

As for other restrictions…once you’re a member we have strict no-asshole, no-spam, no-dishonesty policies that are strictly enforced.

How do I apply? And is there a vetting process?

Applying to The Ops Spot is very straightforward. If you’re in an Operations role, simply click “Join Now” and consider yourself in!

If someone referred you, please specify who it was so we can give him/her a special shout-out. We reserve the right to review applications on an as-needed basis to protect the integrity of the community. We look forward to welcoming you!

Do you have membership restrictions?

At The Ops Spot, we’re all about connecting our global network of operations professionals. Our aim is to foster an environment where every member can learn and flourish. With that spirit, there are only two rules to membership. First, we have a “no-asshole” policy to ensure our community remains a positive and supportive space for everyone. Second, no “spam.” We don’t allow deceptive and dishonest business practices in the community. Are you limiting your membership?
